S20 Lashing Blocks- new options

Four additional products join our range of S20 Lashing Blocks, including double and triple lashing blocks, a HHL double lashing block and a new cheek block option. 

RANGE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Suits maximum 6mm (1/4”) lines.
  • Lightweight, yet strong. Toughened, glass fibre reinforced nylon cheeks with high compression strength acetal sheaves.
  • HHL double option available for higher load applications with all stainless steel sheave, bearing race and ball bearings.
  • BB versions have a low friction 2-stage ball bearing system for efficient and effortless trimming.
  • Perfect for multi purchase vang systems on performance dinghies such as the Moth, 49er and ILCA®. 

Most competitive dinghy sailors would likely have used or seen Ronstan’s popular 20mm single sheave ball bearing and HHL Orbit lashing blocks. Ronstan has now added additional multi-sheave configurations as well as a lightweight cheek block to the range. Double and triple lashing blocks, including a double HHL version for higher load applications, offer sailors stronger and lighter options for multi-purchase control systems on modern high performance and foiling sailboats. The 20mm sheave diameter will accommodate up to 6mm lines, and a 4mm lashing line must pass through the central hub to ensure they meet their published loads.

The RF25209 double lashing block is a lightweight 14g block with a maximum working load (MWL) of
300kg and a breaking load (BL) of 800kg. The RF25309 triple lashing block features the same maximum
working load and breaking load and weighs just 21g. Both the double and triple blocks utilise Ronstan’s
proven 2-stage bearing system for high efficiency under both dynamic and static loads.
For higher load applications, the RF25209HL double block features stainless steel HHL sheaves with
stainless steel ball races and bearings, providing a higher 450kg MWL (900kg BL) yet weighing just 26g.

new S30 HHL block

The new S30 HHL block was designed to suit the ILCA® top vang block at an affordable price. 

Pair it with our new Series 20 double lashing block as the floating middle block for a 12:1 purchase or use the integrated hub as a becket take off to increase to 15:1 purchase – the ultimate ILCA® vang system optimisation.

  • Narrow sheave suits up to 6mm (1/4”) lines. 
  • Cheeks: Grade 316 Stainless steel with a hard-wearing PTFE black coating. 
  • Sheave and bearing race: Grade 2205 stainless steel, ball bearings: Grade 304 stainless steel.
  • MWL of 400kg (880lb) and a BL of 800kg (1760lb).
  • Strong yet light weight at 50g (1.8oz) including RF1062 vang key.

SERIES 20 & SERIES 30 EXIT BLOCKS

Updated design of our S20 & S30 exit blocks in line with the existing S15 have a one piece deep drawn stainless steel housing. The housing has a smooth radius at all entry points and eliminates the need for welding.

We have included a HHL version for high load applications which features the HHL all stainless steel sheave, bearing race and balls.
